Holdyn Lansink netted a hat trick to lead the Listowel Cyclones over the Brantford 99ers, 7-4. Lansink's first goal came 9:59 into the first period. He then added goals at 18:23 into the first and at 14:39 into the second.Listowel was often in penalty trouble, totaling six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 14.0 minutes per game the Cyclones had been spending in the box. Listowel forced Brantford's goaltenders to work all game long, racking up 36 shots and forcing 29 saves. Tristan Lewis made 13 stops and Will Rawski made 16. The Cyclones bested their season scoring average. Listowel averages 3.9 goals per game. The defensemen of the Cyclones were also effective in the 99ers' zone, and came away with two goals. Listowel additionally got points from Brady Anderson, who also had one goal and one assist and Jakob Lee, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Listowel also had goals scored by Corey Flemington and Austin Huizenga, who scored one goal each. In addition, Listowel received assists from Tim Nauta, who had three and Blake Nichol, Jamie Huber, and Ben Shelley, who contributed one each. Brantford's offense rang up 35 shots on Listowel's net. The 99ers got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Brantford was led by Kyle Walker, who registered two goals and one assist.
