The Caledonia Corvairs capitalized on the deft passing of Corey Pawley, who garnered four assists to take down the Welland Jr. Canadians, 7-2. Caledonia's penalty kill excelled, as the Corvairs gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays. Caledonia stifled Welland's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Corvairs kept the Jr. Canadians' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brandon McCorriston made 55 saves on 62 shots. Caledonia got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. The Corvairs were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 24 penalty minutes. Caledonia also got a goal from Austin Brown as well. Other players who recorded assists for Caledonia were Jake Brown, who had two, Tyler Hill, who had three, and Ryan Punkari, Nick Zottl, Quentin Maksimovich, and Johnathon Schaefer, who each chipped in one. Welland's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in three goals to Caledonia's power play unit. The Jr. Canadians were led by Matt Martin, who tallied one goal. Martin scored 15:54 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Bradey Johnson picked up the assist. Cole Hamilton also scored for Welland. In addition, Welland received assists from Andy Paul and Steven Farano, who contributed one each. Mark Sinclair rejected 19 shots on goal for the Corvairs. Welland incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
