The St. Catharines Falcons' James Guest scored 1:05 into overtime to beat the Welland Jr. Canadians, 3-2 (OT).

Guest had a great game for St. Catharines, netting two goals.

The Falcons kept Welland's goalie busy throughout the game, and Chris Janzen made 41 saves on 44 shots. St. Catharines' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

St. Catharines additionally got points from Nicholas Dozzi, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for St. Catharines came via Jake Evans, who had two and Jack Webb, Brandon Cercone, and Anthony Postiglione, who contributed one each.

The Jr. Canadians were led by Bradey Johnson, who finished with one goal and one assist. Johnson scored 15:48 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Welland. Steven Farano provided the assist. Welland also got a goal from Nathan Ferris as well. In addition, Welland received assists from Nathan MacDuff and Brayden Crowder, who each chipped in one.

Joel Horodziejczyk recorded 19 saves for the Falcons. St. Catharines incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Welland incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
