The St. Marys Lincolns tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Leamington Flyers would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-1. Leamington made the score 3-0 on a goal by Derek Elliott at 4:01 in the third period, and St. Marys got as close as 3-1 when Ryan Martin scored 14:37 into the third period. The Flyers' penalty kill excelled, as Leamington gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. The Flyers kept the Lincolns' goalie busy throughout the game, and Emanuel Vella made 36 saves on 39 shots. Leamington got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. The Flyers were helped by Thomas Virban, who registered one goal. Virban scored on the power play 45 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-0 Leamington. Jacob McGhee picked up the assist. Leamington additionally got points from McGhee, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Leamington received assists from Mitchell Crevatin, Scott Emerson, and Liam Hogan, who each chipped in one.
