The Waterloo Siskins took home the 6-3 victory over the Cambridge Winter Hawks. Waterloo forced Winter Hawks' goalies to work in net, ripping 51 shots and forcing 45 saves. Owen Savory made 20 stops and Scott Patton made 25. The Siskins found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Waterloo averages 2.8 goals per game. The Siskins were helped by Nate Schnarr, who had one goal and one assist. Schnarr scored 9:47 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Waterloo. Connor Jean provided the assist. Waterloo also got points from Jean, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Mitchell Rooney, who also registered one goal and one assist. Ryan Sparkes also scored for Waterloo. More assists for Waterloo came via Nick King, who had three, Andrew Lane and Austin Bentley, who contributed one each, and Joshua Slegers and Brett Schaefer, who each chipped in two. Cambridge found itself short handed often, totaling 38 penalty minutes and allowing seven power plays. The Winter Hawks were helped by Robert Proner, who finished with one goal. Proner scored on the power play 15:22 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Waterloo. Cambridge had gotten the advantage when Waterloo's Luke Gazzola was sent off for interference.
