Huge game by Curran boosts Niagara Falls over St. Catharines, 5-2

Johnny Curran was all over the ice for the Niagara Falls Canucks, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Niagara Falls' 5-2 win over the St. Catharines Falcons.

Curran found the back of the net on the power play 12:47 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Niagara Falls and again while on the power play 15:40 into the second to make the score 3-1 Niagara Falls.

The Canucks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four St. Catharines power plays.

Niagara Falls also got points from Frank Pucci, who also had one goal and one assist and Luke Laurin, who also registered one goal and one assist. Peter Falivena also scored for Niagara Falls. In addition, Niagara Falls received assists from Matthew Baldinelli, who had three and Sean Farquharson, Thomas Flack, Zack Lansfield, and Cristian DiFonzo, who each chipped in one.

St. Catharines' offense rang up 39 shots on Niagara Falls' net. The Falcons' defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. St. Catharines averages 2.1 goals allowed per game.

The Falcons were helped by Nicholas Dozzi, who racked up one goal. Dozzi scored 19:19 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Niagara Falls. Ty Learn picked up the assist. St. Catharines additionally got points from Learn, who also finished with one goal and one assist.

The Canucks' Adam Dentico stopped 37 shots out of the 39 that he faced. Niagara Falls incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Cameron Gray made 24 saves for St. Catharines on 27 shots. The Falcons incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
