Niagara Falls rolls over Pelham, 6-1Gale Centre Fri, Dec 18, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Pelham Panthers had trouble finding ways to stop the Niagara Falls Canucks, which beat Panthers, 6-1. Peter Falivena was all over the ice for Niagara Falls, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Falivena scored the first of his two goals at 14:46 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Niagara Falls. Thomas Flack picked up the assist. Falivena's next tally made the score 6-1 Niagara Falls with 5:00 left in the third period. The Canucks had gained a power play chance when Ian Buck was whistled for too many men. This season, the Canucks average 3.5 goals per contest. Niagara Falls could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game. Niagara Falls also got points from Pucci, who also registered one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Niagara Falls included Johnny Curran, Scott Grieve, and Austin Bottrell, who scored one goal each. In addition, Niagara Falls received assists from Sean Farquharson, Zack Lansfield, Luke Laurin, Andrew Barbeau, and Cristian DiFonzo, who contributed one each. Pelham was led by Mathiau Young, who scored the team's only goal. Young scored 8:41 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Martin Nowysz picked up the assist. Josh Horner made 20 saves for the Canucks on 21 shots. Niagara Falls registered one goal on four power play opportunities. The Panthers incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
