The LaSalle Vipers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Chatham Maroons on the way to a 4-3 win. A goal by Nathan Savage put LaSalle up 4-2 in the third period, but Chatham pulled to within one on Ross Krieger's tally 13:01 into the third period. The Vipers were led by Savage, who registered one goal. Savage scored on the power play 8:46 into the third period to make the score 4-2 LaSalle. LaSalle had gotten the advantage when the Maroons' Blair Derynck was sent off for tripping. Tyler Russell picked up the assist. LaSalle additionally got points from Liam MacDougall, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for LaSalle included Eric Kirby and Maddux Rychel, who scored one goal each. In addition, LaSalle received assists from Matthew Doucette, Michael Ruttinger, James Brooks, Connor Rosaasen, and Blake Jones, who contributed one each. Chatham forced the Vipers goalie Paolo Battisti to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. Chatham also got points from Connor Koviak, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for Chatham came via Connor McKinnon, Josh Barraclough, Michael Douglas, Gus Ford, and Michael Levesque, who each chipped in one. Battisti recorded 34 saves for LaSalle. The Vipers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Maroons' Parker Butler stopped 26 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Chatham incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the Maroons, Dede Cato was ejected from the game.
