The Brampton Bombers' Carmine Vietri scored 2:25 into overtime to beat the Waterloo Siskins, 5-4 (OT). Brampton overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Bombers trailed 3-1 after a goal by Waterloo's Gary Mantz at 16:34 in the first period. Brampton tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Lucas Goodman at 18:51 in the third period. Vietri had two goals and one assist to lead the Bombers. Vietri scored the first of his two goals at 18:07 into the first period to make the score 3-2 Waterloo. Jonathan Prasnjak picked up the assist. Vietri's next tally made the score 5-4 Brampton with 17:35 left in. Prasnjak provided the assist. Brampton forced the Siskins goalie Mitchell Datz to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots. Brampton also got points from Mike Rehding, who also registered one goal and one assist and Mitch Shennette, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. More assists for Brampton came via Tayler Woolcott, Wyatt Weppler, Cameron Cruickshank, and Brad Bollert, who contributed one each. Waterloo's offense rang up 38 shots on the Bombers' net. Eric Pitcher rejected 34 shots on goal for Brampton. The Bombers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Siskins' Datz stopped 43 shots out of the 48 that he faced. Waterloo incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
