Listowel downs Guelph, 5-2

Jakob Lee finished with one point to lead the Listowel Cyclones to a 5-2 victory over the Guelph Hurricanes.

Listowel's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Guelph power plays. The Cyclones kept Guelph's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jason DaSilva made 31 saves on 36 shots.

Listowel also got points from Brady Anderson, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Listowel included Caleb Warren, Tim Nauta, and Jordan Caskenette, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Listowel were Blake Nichol, Austin Huizenga, Holdyn Lansink, Jamie Huber, and Ben Shelley, who each chipped in one.

The Hurricanes were led by Ryan Migliaccio, who tallied one goal. Migliaccio scored 8:43 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Ryan Burns assisted on the tally. Guelph also got a goal from Quinn Hanna as well. In addition, Guelph received assists from Stefano Pezzetta, Sebastian Stangherlin, and Sean Power, who contributed one each.

Tyler Fassl made 24 saves for Listowel on 26 shots. The Cyclones incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Guelph incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
