The Brampton Bombers and the Cambridge Winter Hawks skate to 3-3 (OT) tieVictoria Park Arena Fri, Dec 11, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Lucas Goodman banged in two goals and Cameron Cruickshank also chipped in one point, but Brampton still tied Cambridge,. The Bombers' offense rang up 45 shots on the Winter Hawks' net. Brampton could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 32 minutes in penalties during the game. More assists for Brampton came via Mitch Shennette, who had two and Wyatt Weppler, Adel Zivojevic, Jordan Kreller, and Jordan Oshowy, who contributed one each. Cambridge kept the Bombers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jason Rhynold made 39 saves on 42 shots. The Winter Hawks struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 26 penalty minutes for six opposing power plays. Cambridge was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to two goals off of nine man advantages. The Winter Hawks were helped by Alex Mutton, who registered one goal. Mutton scored on the power play 19:44 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Cambridge. Cambridge had taken the advantage when Brampton's Lucas Toth got sent off for roughing. Beau Goehrum picked up the assist. Cambridge also had goals scored by Scott Del Zotto and Kyle Heitzner, who scored one goal each. In addition, Cambridge received assists from Scott Patton, Matt Harding, Jonathan Giordano, Cole Cummings, and Jake Beard, who each chipped in one. Patton rejected 42 shots on goal for the Winter Hawks. |
