Sarnia erases deficit to stun London, 7-6Sarnia Arena Thu, Dec 10, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The London Nationals could not hold down the Sarnia Legionnaires, and Legionnaires erased a three-goal deficit en route to a 7-6 win. Sarnia let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a three hole to pick up the win. The Legionnaires took a 1-0 advantage on a goal by Hunter Tyczynski at 2:53 in the first period. Sarnia found itself down 4-1 after London's Tanner Ferreira put the puck home at 18:31 in the first period. After knotting things up at 5-5 on a goal by Sam McCormack at 18:23 in the second, the Legionnaires got the game-winner from Jarret Marks at 2:47 in the third period. Brock Perry and Ryan Vendramin provided the spark for Sarnia, combining for two goals and four assists. Perry had one goal and two assists and Vendramin also notched one goal and two assists. The Legionnaires forced Nationals' netminders to work in net, finishing with 31 shots and forcing 24 saves. Zack Weir made 19 stops and Connor Hughes made five. Sarnia surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Legionnaires average 3.3 goals per contest. Sarnia got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. London also got points from Kemp, who also registered one goal and two assists and Adams, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. London also got a goal from Max Vinogradov as well. More assists for London came via Jordan Di Cicco, who had two and Derek Di Iorio, Callum Ruddock, Matt Doty, and Sam Harris, who contributed one each. The Legionnaires incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. London incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
