Brampton blows out Listowel, 4-1

The Brampton Bombers had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over the Listowel Cyclones.

Listowel was stymied by Brampton's netminder Jason Rhynold, who stopped 32 shots during the victory. Rhynold certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.95 entering the contest.

The Bombers were led by Lucas Goodman, who tallied one goal. Goodman scored 3:04 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Brampton. Jordan Oshowy assisted on the tally.

Brampton kept the Cyclones' goalie busy throughout the game, and Tyler Fassl made 34 saves on 38 shots.

Brampton also got points from Adel Zivojevic, who also registered one goal and one assist. Brampton also got a goal from Carmine Vietri as well. Other players who recorded assists for Brampton were Wyatt Weppler, Nolan Regan, Cameron Cruickshank, and Jon Prasnjak, who each chipped in one.

Listowel's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Brampton power plays. The Cyclones were held below their usual level of production. Listowel puts an average of 3.6 pucks into the net per game. The Cyclones forced the Bombers goalie Rhynold to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

Listowel was led by Ben Shelley, who scored the team's only goal. Shelley scored 10:38 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Brampton. Blake Nichol picked up the assist.

Brampton incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Cyclones incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
