The Thorold Blackhawks could not stop the Fort Erie Meteors' Manny Manns, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-2 win.

Manns' first goal came 23 seconds into the second period. He then added goals at 43 seconds into the third and at 17:17 into the third.

Fort Erie put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Thorold to score on any of its three power plays. The Blackhawks were unable to stop the Meteors from sending pucks towards the net, and Fort Erie eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

Others who scored for Fort Erie included Bryce Martin and Frankie Franck, who each put in one. In addition, Fort Erie received assists from Cody Petawabano, who had one and Anthony Passero, who had three.

Thorold was helped by Tyler Sehovic, who finished with one goal. Sehovic scored 15:11 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Fort Erie. Anton Trublin picked up the assist. Thorold also got points from Trublin, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Thorold came via Jake Lloyd, Alex Remedios, and Mitchell Mendonca, who contributed one each.

Riley Daniels recorded 24 saves for the Meteors. Fort Erie incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Blackhawks' Josh Astorino stopped 35 shots out of the 40 that he faced. Thorold ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. For the Blackhawks, Anthony Postiglione was ejected from the game.
