Hill's hat trick boosts Niagara Falls over Pelham, 10-1Pelham Meridian CC Tue, Dec 01, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Pelham Panthers could not stop the Niagara Falls Canucks' Dillon Hill, who tallied a hat trick in a 10-1 win. Hill's first goal came 12:52 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:15 into the second and at 17:43 into the third.Niagara Falls stifled Pelham's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Canucks forced the Panthers goalie Stephen Harvey to work between the pipes, taking 57 shots. Niagara Falls surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Canucks average 3.4 goals per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. Niagara Falls also got points from Frank Pucci, who also grabbed one goal and four assists, Johnny Curran, who also finished with two goals and one assist, and Peter Falivena, who also registered one goal and one assist. Niagara Falls also had goals scored by Evan Denley, Austin Bottrell, and Matthew Marsden, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Niagara Falls were Thomas Flack, who had three, Sean Farquharson, who had four, Matthew Baldinelli and Andrew Barbeau, who each chipped in one, and Scott Grieve and Luke Laurin, who contributed two each. Pelham could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 44 minutes in penalties during the game. Pelham also got a goal from Hunter Swain as well. In addition, Pelham received assists from Thomas Young, who had one. Niagara Falls' Adam Dentico stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. The Canucks incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Stephen Harvey made 47 saves for the Panthers on 57 shots. Pelham registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
