Dorion's big game bests Lambton Shores in 8-3 London win

Scott Dorion had one goal and three assists to lead the London Nationals to an 8-3 victory over the Lambton Shores Predators.

Dorion beat Anthony Hurtubise with a shot 7:18 into the third period to make the score 4-0 London. Dorion dished an assist on Rai Di Loreto's goal that made the score 1-0 London at 4:36 into the first period. He then added assists on Kevin Madden's goal at 15:49 into the first and on Trevor Dulong's goal at 16:41 into the third.

London kept Lambton Shores' goalie busy throughout the game, and Hurtubise made 57 saves on 65 shots. The Nationals surpassed their usual scoring output this season. London has scored at the pace of 3.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

London also got points from Madden, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Austin Kemp, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Dulong, who also tallied two goals and one assist. London also got a goal from John Warren as well. In addition, London received assists from Alex Cimino, who had four and Isaiah Payne, Derek Di Iorio, Callum Ruddock, Sam Harris, and Max Vinogradov, who contributed one each.

The Predators were led by Connor Merritt, who had one goal. Merritt scored 9:43 into the third period to make the score 4-2 London. Calvin Hughson assisted on the tally. Lambton Shores also had goals scored by Ethan Sarfati and Gino Mini, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Lambton Shores were Carson Pearce, Marcel Berube, Cole Braney, Matthew Philip, and Brenden Trottier, who each chipped in one.

Connor Hughes recorded 24 saves for the Nationals. London incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Lambton Shores incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
