Aaron Nunes was all over the ice for the Thorold Blackhawks, as he tallied two goals in Thorold's 4-1 win over the Fort Erie Meteors.

Nunes scored at 11:20 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thorold and again while on the power play 8:35 into the second to make the score 3-1 Thorold.

The Blackhawks stifled Fort Erie's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Thorold additionally got points from Anton Trublin, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Thorold also got a goal from Rick Eberhart as well. In addition, Thorold received assists from Brendan D`Agostino, who had two and Jake Lloyd and Tyler Sehovic, who contributed one each.

The Meteors were led by Mike Masotti, who scored the team's only goal. Masotti scored 13:27 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Dakota Miskolczi picked up the assist.

Josh Astorino made 20 saves for Thorold on 21 shots. The Blackhawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Riley Daniels rejected 22 shots on goal for Fort Erie. The Meteors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
