Brampton rips Waterloo, 6-3

The Brampton Bombers had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-3 win over the Waterloo Siskins.

Cameron Cruickshank had a great game for Brampton, netting two goals. Cruickshank scored at 2:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brampton and again while 18:08 into the first to make the score 3-1 Brampton.

The Bombers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 20 penalty minutes.

Brampton found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Bombers average 2.9 goals per contest.

Others who scored for Brampton included Lucas Goodman, Lucas Toth, Patrick Zilak, and Mitch Shennette, who each put in one. In addition, Brampton received assists from Adel Zivojevic, Anthony Pullicino, Ramon Lopez, Jordan Kreller, and Brad Bollert, who each chipped in one and Wyatt Weppler and Mike Rehding, who contributed two each.

Team could not crack Brampton's penalty kill and was held to one power play goal while having nine opportunities to play with the man advantage.

Waterloo was helped by Nate Schnarr, who finished with one goal. Schnarr scored on the power play 14:22 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Brampton. The Siskins had gotten the advantage when the Bombers' Jordan Oshowy was sent off for kneeing. Jesse Hewak picked up the assist. Waterloo also had goals scored by Andrew Lane and Jared Lindsay, who scored one goal each. More assists for Waterloo came via Graham Evans and Nick Hirst, who each chipped in one.

Jason Rhynold rejected 25 shots on goal for Brampton. The Bombers registered one goal on four power play opportunities. For Brampton, Joseph Spina was ejected from the game. Bailey DeGasperis made 22 saves for Waterloo on 28 shots. The Siskins incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
