Adam Truax had one point to lead the St. Thomas Stars to a 7-2 victory over the Strathroy Rockets. St. Thomas managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Stars finished below its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game. St. Thomas' offense rang up 41 shots on Strathroy's net. The Stars surpassed their usual scoring output this season. St. Thomas averages 4.3 goals per game. St. Thomas also had goals scored by Ryan Valentini, Carson Brookshaw, and Andrew Chambers, who each put in two. More assists for St. Thomas came via Eric Henderson, who had three, Jake Reed, Curtis Ferreira, Spencer Hutchinson, Alex Turko, and Carson Esipu, who each chipped in one, and Matt McJannet, Adam Keyes, and Cal Horvat, who contributed two each. The Stars were unable to stop the Rockets from sending pucks towards the net, and Strathroy eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. The Rockets were helped by Noah Tooke, who racked up one goal. Tooke scored 1:54 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Strathroy. Matt Laberge picked up the assist. Strathroy also got a goal from Kieran Milne as well. In addition, Strathroy received assists from Riley O`Connell and Codey McRoberts, who each chipped in one. Dan Black recorded 31 saves for St. Thomas. The Stars registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Strathroy's Dane Gubbels stopped 34 shots out of the 41 that he faced. The Rockets incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
