The St. Catharines Falcons and the Thorold Blackhawks were evenly matched throughout their contest, but St. Catharines made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Jake Evans secured the win for the Falcons with a goal in the third period. St. Catharines was sparked by Evans, who racked up one goal. Evans scored 19:25 into the third period to make the score 3-2 St. Catharines. Phillip Chadder picked up the assist. Thorold was unable to stop the Falcons from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Catharines eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. St. Catharines also had goals scored by Jack Webb and Owen Green, who scored one goal each. In addition, St. Catharines received assists from James Guest, Griffin Roubos, and Brett Brooker, who contributed one each. The Blackhawks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Thorold was helped by David D`Agostino, who registered one goal. D`Agostino scored 9:12 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Brendan D`Agostino assisted on the tally. Thorold additionally got points from D`Agostino, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Thorold came via Anton Trublin, Mitchell Mendonca, and Adam Kozlowski, who each chipped in one. Joel Horodziejczyk made 25 saves for the Falcons on 27 shots. St. Catharines incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors. Josh Astorino rejected 32 shots on goal for the Blackhawks. Thorold incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
