LaSalle survives St. Thomas comeback, wins 5-3

The St. Thomas Stars tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the LaSalle Vipers would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-3.

LaSalle made the score 5-2 on a goal by Nathan Savage at 11:35 in the third period, and St. Thomas got as close as 5-3 when Ethan Nother scored 18:36 into the third period.

The Stars were unable to stop the Vipers from sending pucks towards the net, and LaSalle eventually piled up 42 shots on goal.

The Vipers were led by Manny Silverio, who racked up three goals. LaSalle also got points from Savage, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Liam MacDougall also scored for LaSalle. More assists for LaSalle came via Paolo Battisti, Zack Hoffman, and Kyle Auger, who each chipped in one and Tyler Russell, Blake Jones, and Dalton Langlois, who contributed two each.

St. Thomas' offense rang up 38 shots on LaSalle's net.

St. Thomas additionally got points from Matt McJannet, who also registered one goal and two assists. In addition, St. Thomas received assists from Carson Brookshaw, who had three.

Paolo Battisti made 35 saves for the Vipers on 38 shots. LaSalle incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Nikolas Dampier rejected 37 shots on goal for the Stars. St. Thomas incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
