Bailey DeGasperis made 30 saves to complete the shutout and led the Waterloo Siskins to a 2-0 win against the Listowel Cyclones. Waterloo was led by Joel Penticost, who registered one goal. Penticost scored 3:18 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Waterloo. Matt Bourbeau assisted on the tally. The Siskins' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Listowel power plays. Waterloo also got a goal from Nick Hirst as well. In addition, Waterloo received assists from Luke Gazzola and Ryan Sparkes, who each chipped in one. Listowel was held below its usual level of production. The Cyclones put an average of 3.9 pucks into the net per game. Waterloo totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. The Siskins ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brett Wilson was ejected from the game. Tyler Fassl made 17 saves for Listowel on 18 shots. The Cyclones incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
