Huge game by Seguin boosts Caledonia over Pelham, 17-1Haldimand Center Sat, Oct 31, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Tait Seguin was all over the ice for the Caledonia Corvairs, as he tallied two goals and three assists in Caledonia's 17-1 win over the Pelham Panthers. Seguin scored at 9:13 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Caledonia and again while 13:51 into the first to make the score 3-0 Caledonia.The Corvairs stifled Pelham's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Caledonia's offense rang up 66 shots on the Panthers' net. The Corvairs found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Caledonia averages 5.9 goals per game. The Corvairs got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game. Caledonia's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Corvairs finished with 24 penalty minutes. Caledonia also got points from Austin Brown, who also grabbed three goals and two assists, Mitch Graham, who also registered one goal and one assist, Ryan Punkari, who also had two goals and three assists, Matt McCartney, who also racked up two goals and three assists, Matt Rimac, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Corey Pawley, who also registered one goal and five assists, Jake Brown, who also had two goals and one assist, and Matthew Hore, who also tallied three goals and three assists. In addition, Caledonia received assists from Blake Luscombe, who had two, Nick Zottl, Jonathan Pace, Quentin Maksimovich, and Johnathon Schaefer, who each chipped in one, and Chadd Bauman and Todd Ratchford, who contributed three each. Pelham did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 11 shots on net to force 10 saves. Zach Moore recorded 10 saves for Caledonia. The Corvairs registered two goals on five power play opportunities. The Panthers' Stephen Harvey stopped 49 shots out of the 66 that he faced. Pelham incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
