Brampton downs Brantford in overtime, 4-3 (OT)Gretzky Main Rink Thu, Oct 29, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Ramon Lopez gave the Brampton Bombers a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Brantford 99ers when he scored 44 seconds into the extra period. Brampton came back from a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Bombers trailed 3-0 after a goal by Brantford's Kyle Walker at 7:55 in the second period. Brampton knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Justin Coles at 4:40 in the third period. The Bombers were sparked by Lopez, who tallied one goal and one assist. The 99ers were unable to stop Brampton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Bombers eventually piled up 52 shots on goal. Brampton could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 30 minutes in penalties during the game. Brampton additionally got points from Mitch Shennette, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Carmine Vietri also scored for Brampton. More assists for Brampton came via Anthony Pullicino, Yianni Liarakos, Chris Arsenault, Jordan Kreller, and Jordan Oshowy, who contributed one each. Brantford's offense rang up 47 shots on the Bombers' net. The 99ers were helped by Matthew Woods, who registered one goal. Woods scored on the power play 4:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brantford. Brantford had gained a power play chance when Pullicino was whistled for boarding. Ryon Pereira provided the assist. In addition, Brantford received assists from Brandon Scanlin, who had two and Christian Polillo, Jack Phibbs, and Bryce O`Brien, who each chipped in one. Jason Rhynold rejected 44 shots on goal for Brampton. The Bombers registered one goal on six power play opportunities. For Brampton, Coles was ejected from the game. Tristan Lewis made 48 saves for the 99ers on 52 shots. Brantford incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
