Fort Erie downs Pelham in overtime, 7-6 (OT)

Danial Singer gave the Fort Erie Meteors a 7-6 (OT) victory over the Pelham Panthers when he scored 2:54 into the extra period.

Fort Erie overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Meteors was down 3-1 after a goal by Pelham's Adam Petric at 16:31 in the first period. Fort Erie tied things up at 6-6 on a goal by Cameron DeFazio at 18:11 in the third period.

Singer was all over the ice for the Meteors, as he grabbed two goals in the win.

Fort Erie's offense rang up 54 shots on the Panthers' net. The Meteors outdid their season average for goals scored. Fort Erie has scored at the pace of 3.2 goals per game during the current campaign.

Fort Erie also got points from Alex Hurran, who also had one goal and two assists, Ben Evans, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Anthony Passero, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, and Holden Garlent, who also racked up two goals and one assist. More assists for Fort Erie came via Declan Conway, who had three and Bryce Martin and Zach Stamates, who each chipped in one.

Pelham put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Meteors to score on any of their four power plays. The Panthers surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Pelham averages 2.5 goals per game.

Pelham additionally got points from Petric, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Pelham included Bryce Hoggard, Alexander Hester, and Riley Hollowell, who each put in one. In addition, Pelham received assists from London Murray, Zach Anderson, Jesse Burger, Synee Coonishish, Mathiau Young, and Brandon MacKinnon, who contributed one each.

Fort Erie's starting goalie, Riley Daniels, made 15 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Brayden Lachance, who stopped three shots. The Meteors incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Stephen Harvey recorded 47 saves for the Panthers. Pelham incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
