Sehovic's hat trick boosts Thorold over Pelham, 5-1Thorold Community Arena Thu, Oct 22, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Pelham Panthers could not stop the Thorold Blackhawks' Tyler Sehovic, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-1 win. Sehovic's first goal came 11:29 into the second period. He then added goals at 15:08 into the second and at 6:54 into the third.Thorold pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 26 penalty minutes. The Blackhawks stifled Pelham's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Thorold forced the Panthers goalie Corey Foster to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. The Blackhawks bested their season scoring average. Thorold averages 2.5 goals per game. The Blackhawks got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game. Others who scored for Thorold included Francois Plamondon and Nick Sacco, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Thorold were Brendan D`Agostino and Mitchell Mendonca, who each chipped in one and Anthony Merante and Aaron Nunes, who contributed two each. Pelham was led by Trevor Hester, who scored the team's only goal. Hester scored 2:35 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Riley Hollowell assisted on the tally. Fraser Kirk recorded 23 saves for Thorold. The Blackhawks registered one goal on four power play opportunities. The Panthers' Foster stopped 41 shots out of the 46 that he faced. Pelham incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Panthers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Spencer Comelli was ejected from the game.
