The Sarnia Legionnaires' Ryan Vendramin had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing four assists in his team's 7-4 win over the London Nationals. Vendramin got on the board by slotting home a power play goal 13:51 into the second period to make the score 6-2 Sarnia. London had taken the advantage when Sarnia's Derrick Johnson got sent off for interference. Jordan Di Cicco provided the assist. Max Vinogradov dished an assist on Rai Di Loreto's goal that made the score 1-0 London at 5:13 into the first period.In the losing effort, the Nationals were paced by Vinogradov, who grabbed three goals and one assist. The Legionnaires racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and one major for 33 minutes in penalty time. Sarnia surpassed its season average of 22.0 penalty minutes per game. The Legionnaires surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Sarnia averages 2.9 goals per game. The Legionnaires was effective with a man advantage, and put in three goals while on the power play. Sarnia's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. Sarnia additionally got points from Sam McCormack, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Ryan Trottier, who also had one goal and one assist, Jordan Fogarty, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Brandon Layman, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Sarnia included Zack Vanderwal and Konnor Roskovich, who each put in one. For the Legionnaires, Jacob Stos was ejected from the game. London took out Connor Hughes after he had made four saves and installed Zack Weir in goal, where he finished with 14 saves and the loss. The Nationals totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 3-for-7 on the power play. London ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Matt Bean was ejected from the game. |
