Michael Pollice lifted the Ancaster Avalanche to a 6-3 victory with a hat trick against the Thorold Blackhawks. Pollice's first goal came 6:41 into the second period. He then added goals at 13:17 into the second and at 17:42 into the third.Thorold fell victim to a deadly Ancaster power play, which ripped the Blackhawks for four goals. Ancaster additionally got points from Jesse Hilton, who also grabbed one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Ancaster also had goals scored by Cole Nagy and Zach Lawrence, who scored one goal each. In addition, Ancaster received assists from Ben Hughes, who had three and Ryan Sullivan, Max Balinson, Lucas Pozzobon, Matt Mannella, and Owen Burnell, who contributed one each. Thorold kept the Avalanche's goalie busy throughout the game, and Matt Calas made 30 saves on 33 shots. The Blackhawks were led by Anton Trublin, who tallied one goal and one assist. Trublin scored on the power play 13:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thorold. Thorold had gained a power play chance when Fedor Gordeev was whistled for goalie interference. David D`Agostino picked up the assist. Others who scored for Thorold included Tyler Sehovic and Alek Panov, who each put in one. More assists for Thorold came via Anthony Merante and Cal Davis, who each chipped in one. Ancaster incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Josh Astorino made 23 saves for the Blackhawks on 29 shots. Thorold incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
