Brampton falls to Guelph in overtime, 3-2 (OT)Sleeman Centre Sat, Oct 10, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Guelph Hurricanes' Cameron Stokes scored 10:31 into overtime to beat the Brampton Bombers, 3-2 (OT). Ryan Waterhouse had a great game for Guelph, netting two goals. Waterhouse scored at 3:00 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Guelph and again while 10:23 into the second to make the score 3-1 Guelph. Brampton was unable to stop the Hurricanes from sending pucks towards the net, and Guelph eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. Guelph also got points from Sean Power, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Stokes, who also registered one goal and two assists. Other players who recorded assists for Guelph were Ryan Migliaccio and Ryan Burns, who contributed one each. The Bombers forced the Hurricanes goalie Christian Propp to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots. Team could not crack Guelph's penalty kill and was held to two power play goals while having 11 opportunities to play with the man advantage. Brampton was helped by Mitch Shennette, who had one goal. Shennette scored on the power play 8:08 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Bombers earned a power play opportunity when Stefano Pezzetta was put in the box for checking from behind. Yianni Liarakos picked up the assist. Ramon Lopez also scored for Brampton. In addition, Brampton received assists from Conor Thomson, Cameron Cruickshank, and Nick Kiriakos, who each chipped in one. Propp recorded 43 saves for the Hurricanes. Guelph incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. The Hurricanes ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Pezzetta was ejected from the game. Sam Procopio (APJ) made 37 saves for Brampton on 40 shots. The Bombers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. For Brampton, Tyler Woolcott was ejected from the game.
