Fassl leads Listowel to shutout victory over BrantfordGretzky Main Rink Thu, Oct 08, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Tyler Fassl recorded a shutout against the Brantford 99ers as the Listowel Cyclones picked up a 3-0 win. Listowel was sparked by Blake Pickering, who had one goal and one assist. Pickering scored on the power play 6:08 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Listowel. The Cyclones earned a power play opportunity when Bryce O`Brien was put in the box for high sticking. Holdyn Lansink provided the assist. Listowel's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Brantford power plays. The Cyclones kept Brantford's goalie busy throughout the game, and Will Rawski made 34 saves on 37 shots. Listowel also got points from Caleb Warren, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Lansink, who also registered one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Listowel were Blake Nichol, who had one. The 99ers could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Brantford puts an average of 2.3 pucks into the net per game. Listowel's Fassl stopped 27 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Cyclones incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The 99ers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. |
