The Leamington Flyers and the Lambton Shores Predators were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Leamington made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Matthew Opblinger's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker. The Flyers' penalty kill excelled, as Leamington gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. The Flyers were led by Opblinger, who registered one goal. Opblinger scored short handed 14:49 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Leamington. Leamington played down a man on Cale Allen's goalie interference. Zak Parlette picked up the assist. The Flyers' offense rang up 46 shots on Lambton Shores' net. Leamington's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Flyers finished with 36 penalty minutes. Leamington additionally got points from Cale Phibbs, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Mitchell Amante, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Scott Florence, who also finished with one goal and one assist.
