Strathroy blows out St. Marys, 5-2

The Strathroy Rockets had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over the St. Marys Lincolns.

Strathroy was led by Max Ewart, who had one goal and one assist. Ewart scored 13:25 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Strathroy. Shane Bulitka assisted on the tally.

The Rockets stifled St. Marys' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Strathroy kept the Lincolns' goalie busy throughout the game, and Ryan Langford made 30 saves on 35 shots.

Strathroy also got points from Bulitka, who also registered one goal and one assist. Strathroy also had goals scored by Wesley Kelly, Riley O`Connell, and Codey McRoberts, who scored one goal each. In addition, Strathroy received assists from Steve Griggs, Matt Laberge, Matt McGhee, Lucas Latina, Noah Tooke, and TJ Harris, who contributed one each.

St. Marys was led by Dan Cloutier, who finished with one goal. Cloutier scored 5:11 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Strathroy. St. Marys also got a goal from Graham Brulotte as well. More assists for St. Marys came via Nick Whitworth and Josh Zlatinszky, who each chipped in one.

Mat Ouellet recorded 25 saves for the Rockets. Strathroy incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Lincolns incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. For St. Marys, Trent Dundas was ejected from the game.
