Ryan Migliaccio racked up two points to lead the Guelph Hurricanes to a 6-3 victory over the Elmira Sugar Kings. Guelph forced Elmira goalie Liam Conway to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. Guelph also got points from Stefano Pezzetta, who also registered one goal and one assist and Cameron Stokes, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Guelph also had goals scored by Ryan Burns, Ryan Waterhouse, and Alex Ritchie, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Guelph were Quinn Hanna, who had two and Jake Wyse, Sebastian Stangherlin, Sean Power, Nicholas Bird, Cameron Palmer, and Tyler Burns, who each chipped in one. The Sugar Kings were helped by Ryan Walsh, who had one goal. Walsh scored on the power play 12:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Elmira. Elmira earned a power play opportunity when Wyse was put in the box for tripping. Ryan Maksymyk picked up the assist. Elmira additionally got points from Ethan Skinner, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Rob Kohli also scored for Elmira. In addition, Elmira received assists from Zac Coulter, who had two and Mitch Montgomery and Jeff Jordan, who contributed one each. The Hurricanes' Jason DaSilva stopped 27 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Guelph incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Liam Conway made 38 saves for the Sugar Kings on 43 shots. Elmira totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. The Sugar Kings ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Ty Jackson was ejected from the game.
