Niagara Falls and Welland could not settle their match and fought to a 2-2 tie. The Canucks stifled the Jr. Canadians' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Niagara Falls was helped by Peter Falivena, who finished with one goal and one assist. Falivena scored on the power play 22 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Niagara Falls. The Canucks had gotten the advantage when Welland's Steven Farano was sent off for delay of game. Sean Farquharson provided the assist. Niagara Falls additionally got points from Farquharson, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, Niagara Falls received assists from Thomas Flack, who had one. The Jr. Canadians were helped by Andy Paul, who racked up one goal. Paul scored 6:57 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jeff Williams assisted on the tally. Matt Martin also scored for Welland. Other players who recorded assists for Welland were Max Cipriano and Nicholas Boehmer, who contributed one each.
