The Fort Erie Meteors tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Welland Jr. Canadians held on for a 4-3 victory. Welland took a 4-2 lead during the third period, only to have Fort Erie storm back on a Danial Singer goal 19:37 into the third period to pull to one goal down. The Jr. Canadians were sparked by Cameron Aitken, who finished with one goal and one assist. Aitken scored 19:03 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Welland. Welland additionally got points from Jack Fitzgerald, who also had one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Welland included Cole Hamilton and Brayden Crowder, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Welland were Nathan MacDuff, who had three. The Meteors were held back by their power play unit, which tallied two goals on nine chances. Fort Erie was helped by Holden Garlent, who racked up one goal and one assist. Garlent scored 12:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fort Erie. Anthony Passero assisted on the tally.
