The Cambridge Winter Hawks tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Listowel Cyclones held on for a 3-2 victory. A goal by Ray McFalls put Listowel up 3-1 in the third period, but Cambridge pulled to within one on Beau Goehrum's tally 19:54 into the third period. The Cyclones were led by McFalls, who registered one goal. McFalls scored 9:27 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Listowel. Jordan Caskenette assisted on the tally. Listowel excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Cyclones kept the Winter Hawks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Scott Patton made 34 saves on 37 shots. Listowel additionally got points from Caskenette, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Holdyn Lansink also scored for Listowel. More assists for Listowel came via Jakob Lee, Blake Nichol, Chayse Herrfort, Jamie Huber, and Ben Shelley, who each chipped in one. Cambridge forced Listowel goalie Tyler Fassl to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. The Winter Hawks got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Cambridge was helped by Kevin Lanoix, who grabbed one goal. Lanoix scored 14:31 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Matt MacKay picked up the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Cambridge were Zack Hedley, who had two. Tyler Fassl made 34 saves for the Cyclones on 36 shots. Listowel incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Winter Hawks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
