Behind a great game by Cale Phibbs, who had two goals, the Leamington Flyers defeated the St. Thomas Stars, 3-0.

Phibbs scored at 8:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Leamington and again while on the power play 15:44 into the third to make the score 2-0 Leamington.

Leamington put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow St. Thomas to score on any of its four power plays. The Flyers kept the Stars' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nikolas Dampier made 36 saves on 39 shots.

Leamington also got a goal from Mark Gangnon as well. In addition, Leamington received assists from J.P. Grineau, Nicolas Mainella, and Scott Emerson, who contributed one each.

Tyler Wall made 24 saves for Leamington on 24 shots. The Flyers incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. St. Thomas incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors. For the Stars, Jay Dekker was ejected from the game.
