The Stratford Cullitons and the Guelph Hurricanes skate to 3-3 (OT) tieAllman Arena Fri, Sep 18, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Two goals from Cameron Stokes and two points from Brody Milne could not prevent Guelph from drawing with Stratford,. The Cullitons kept the Hurricanes' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jason DaSilva made 47 saves on 50 shots. Stratford's power play was punchless, and failed to score a single goal despite having 10 power play opportunities. The Cullitons could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game. Stratford was helped by Drew Gross, who registered one goal. Gross scored 8:53 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Deven Kropf assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Stratford included Jack Scanlan and Hayden Broomhead, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Stratford were Jared Nash, Zach Van Louwe, Tyson Baker, and Josh Miller, who contributed one each. Guelph stifled the Cullitons' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Hurricanes were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 28 penalty minutes. Guelph additionally got points from Milne, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, Guelph received assists from Cameron Palmer, who had one. Nick Redman made 17 saves for Stratford on 20 shots. Guelph registered one goal on nine power play opportunities.
