The Lambton Shores Predators survived a determined comeback attempt by the Sarnia Legionnaires on the way to a 3-2 win. Lambton Shores made the score 3-1 on a goal by Andrew Kim at 11:58 in the third period, and Sarnia got as close as 3-2 when Jacob Stos scored 18:20 into the third period. The Predators were led by Kim, who had one goal. Others who scored for Lambton Shores included Colin Burns and Ethan Sarfati, who each put in one. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Vaughn Treppa, who had two and Brett Corrigan, Ryan Fraser, Brenden Trottier, and Sean Ross, who each chipped in one. The Legionnaires' offense rang up 38 shots on Lambton Shores' net. Sarnia was helped by Brett Storr, who registered one goal. Storr scored on the power play 14:58 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Lambton Shores. The Legionnaires had gained a power play chance when Mike Zottl was whistled for tripping. Hunter Tyczynski provided the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Sarnia were Ryan Trottier and Ethan Dupont, who contributed one each. Anthony Hurtubise made 36 saves for the Predators on 38 shots. Lambton Shores incurred 40 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Predators ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Marcel Berube was ejected from the game. Sarnia's Shane Battler stopped 18 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Legionnaires totaled 41 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. For Sarnia, PJ Vandervaart was ejected from the game.
