HC Val Pusteria Lupi survived a determined comeback attempt by Rittner Buam on the way to a 4-3 win.

A goal by Patrick Rizzo put HC Val Pusteria Lupi up 4-0 in the second period, but Rittner Buam pulled to within one on Luca Ansoldi's tally 13:57 into the third period.

Rizzo had two goals and one assist to lead HC Val Pusteria Lupi. Rizzo scored the first of his two goals at 4:04 into the second period to make the score 3-0 HC Val Pusteria Lupi. Patrick Bona assisted on the tally. Rizzo's next tally made the score 4-0 HC Val Pusteria Lupi with 1:47 left in the second period. Raphael Andergassen picked up the assist.

HC Val Pusteria Lupi stifled Rittner Buam's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

HC Val Pusteria Lupi also got points from Andergassen, who also registered one goal and two assists. Armand Berzins also scored for HC Val Pusteria Lupi. More assists for HC Val Pusteria Lupi came via Armin Hofer, Gerald Vale Kuhn, Armin Helfer, and Lukas Tauber, who each chipped in one.

Rittner Buam put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow HC Val Pusteria Lupi to score on any of its three power plays.
