The Port Perry Mojacks took the lead against the Little Britain Merchants in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 5-3 victory.

Matthew Doucette provided Port Perry with the game-winning tally when he scored 3:33 into the first period.

Kyle Schweda had a great game for the Mojacks, netting two goals. Schweda scored at 3:29 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Port Perry and again while 8:03 into the third to make the score 4-2 Port Perry.

Little Britain's power play was ineffective against Port Perry's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Merchants were unable to stop the Mojacks from sending pucks towards the net, and Port Perry eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Jeff St. Pierre also scored for Port Perry. In addition, Port Perry received assists from Graham Lamers, who had two and Andrew Crichton and Konrad Piorkowski, who contributed one each.

Little Britain excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

The Merchants were led by Terry Snoddon, who had one goal and two assists. Snoddon scored 13 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-2 Port Perry. Brad Ward assisted on the tally. Little Britain also got points from Kurtis Moore, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Jesse Beers, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Little Britain were Brant Foster, who had one.

Jeff Julien recorded 26 saves for the Mojacks. Port Perry incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Mojacks, Jessie Menzies APM was ejected from the game. Garrett Haden made 28 saves for Little Britain on 32 shots. The Merchants incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
