Team Minnesota hangs on, beats Winnipeg Junior Jets 2-0

Team Minnesota took the lead against Winnipeg Junior Jets in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 2-0 victory.

A goal 5:34 into the first period by Quinn Schliesman proved to be the game winner, and powered Team Minnesota to the victory. Luke Hause picked up the assist.

Jacob Fowler frustrated Winnipeg Junior Jets' offense all game, and stopped 31 shots en route to a shutout. The solid play of Fowler will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.04.

Team Minnesota was sparked by Schliesman, who had one goal.

Nick Mikan also scored for Team Minnesota. Other players who recorded assists for Team Minnesota were Jackson Anderson and Gavin Lindberg, who contributed one each.

Team Minnesota was unable to stop Winnipeg Junior Jets from sending pucks towards the net, and Winnipeg Junior Jets eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Team Minnesota incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Ethan Buenaventura made 16 saves for Winnipeg Junior Jets on 18 shots. Winnipeg Junior Jets incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
