Boston Junior Bruins survives BC Junior Canucks comeback, wins 5-3

Boston Junior Bruins survived a determined comeback attempt by BC Junior Canucks on the way to a 5-3 win.

A goal by Cj Foley put Boston Junior Bruins up 5-0 in the third period, but BC Junior Canucks pulled to within two on Daimon Gardner's tally 12:50 into the third period.

Boston Junior Bruins capitalized on BC Junior Canucks' penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage. The defensemen of Boston Junior Bruins were also effective in BC Junior Canucks' zone, and came away with two goals.

Boston Junior Bruins was helped by Frankie Dancona, who finished with one goal. Dancona scored on the power play 9:34 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Boston Junior Bruins. Boston Junior Bruins had gotten the advantage when BC Junior Canucks' Eshan Barha was sent off for tripping. Chris Delaney provided the assist. Boston Junior Bruins also got points from Michael Callow, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Boston Junior Bruins included Shane Taddia and Christopher Romaine, who scored one goal each. More assists for Boston Junior Bruins came via Brady Berard, Ethan Johnson, Brian Grant, and Owen Paskowski, who each chipped in one.

BC Junior Canucks also got a goal from Conner Levis as well. In addition, BC Junior Canucks received assists from Marek Hejduk, who had two and Jonathan Corbett, David Hejduk, and RJ De Paiva, who contributed one each.

Brendan Flanagan rejected 15 shots on goal for Boston Junior Bruins. Boston Junior Bruins incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. BC Junior Canucks' starting goalie, Merik Erickson, made 10 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Ronin Geraghty, who stopped three shots. BC Junior Canucks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
