The Pembroke Lumber Kings' Jordan Larson had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team's 5-0 win over the Carleton Place Canadians.

Larson scored on the power play 11:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pembroke. Pembroke had gotten the advantage when Carleton Place's Luke Edwards was sent off for holding. Lucas Gonu picked up the assist. Larson dished an assist on Dylan Staples's goal that made the score 3-0 Pembroke at 16:23 into the second period. He then added assists on Felix Chamberland's goal at 19:30 into the second and on Chamberland's goal at 10:23 into the third.

After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, the Canadians face elimination next time out.

The Lumber Kings were boosted by Darren Smith, who turned in a shutout with 31 saves. Smith managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.84 prior to the game.

Pembroke excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances.

Pembroke also got a goal from Mark Petaccio as well. More assists for Pembroke came via Stephan Beauvais, who had three.

The Lumber Kings were unable to stop Carleton Place from sending pucks towards the net, and the Canadians eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Carleton Place's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in four goals to Pembroke's power play unit.

The Lumber Kings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Canadians' starting goalie, Guillaume Therien, made 19 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Justin Laforest, who stopped five shots. Carleton Place incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
