The Belle River Canadiens tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Amherstburg Admirals would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4. Amherstburg took a 5-2 lead during the third period, only to have Belle River storm back on a Sebastian Kanally goal 17:08 into the third period to pull to one goal down. After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, the Canadiens face elimination next time out. The Admirals were led by Jordan Luciw, who finished with one goal. Luciw scored 15:56 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Amherstburg. Brett Beattie provided the assist. Amherstburg kept Belle River's goalie busy throughout the game, and Mitch Topliffe made 30 saves on 35 shots. Amherstburg also got points from Beattie, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Chad Copeland, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Luke Gangnon, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Amherstburg also got a goal from Ryan Alexander as well. Other players who recorded assists for Amherstburg were Mark Sobocan, Kyle Morand, and Dan Matoski, who each chipped in one. The Canadiens put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Admirals to score on any of their six power plays. Others who scored for Belle River included Brenden Crundwell and Kody Gagnon, who scored one goal each. In addition, Belle River received assists from Mike Ditty, who had two and Brad Carroll, Guy Levesque, Hunter Corp, and JJ Percy, who contributed one a piece. Arren Romeril recorded 26 saves for Amherstburg. The Admirals incurred 36 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Belle River incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
