Mooretown falls to Blenheim in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Blenheim Blades' Mackenzie Dick scored 58 seconds into overtime to beat the Mooretown Flags, 3-2 (OT).

The win gave Blenheim a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Blades were paced by Dick, who had one goal.

Blenheim forced Mooretown goalie Brandon Johnson to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. The Blades did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up only one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Blenheim also had goals scored by Dylan Muzzatti and Justin Rossignol, who scored one goal each. In addition, Blenheim received assists from Conner Annett, Ben Pataki APM, Tyler Boughner, and Zack Horvath, who each chipped in one.

The Flags were led by Brett Thompson, who tallied one goal and one assist. Thompson scored 4:05 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mooretown. Sam Jasmin assisted on the tally. Spencer Bronzi also scored for Mooretown.

Eric Stewardson recorded 25 saves for Blenheim. The Blades registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Mooretown's Johnson stopped 44 shots out of the 47 that he faced. The Flags incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
