Team Wisconsin squeaks by Team Southwest, 4-2

Team Wisconsin and Team Southwest were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Team Wisconsin made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Brett Gruber secured the win for Team Wisconsin with a goal in the third period.

Connor Blanck was all over the ice for Team Wisconsin, as he finished with two goals in the win. Blanck's tallies came at 17:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Team Wisconsin and 13:15 into the third to make the score 4-2 Team Wisconsin.

Team Wisconsin pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

Team Wisconsin forced Team Southwest's goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, ripping 35 shots and forcing 31 saves. Maclean Berglove made 16 stops and Jacob Berger made 15.

Charlie Graaskamp also scored for Team Wisconsin. Other players who recorded assists for Team Wisconsin were Jake Bresser, Mathew Berkovitz, Ryan Mezera, Chuck Bennis, and Mason Appleton, who each chipped in one.

Team Southwest kept Team Wisconsin's goalie busy throughout the game, and Ryan Wischow made 29 saves on 31 shots.

Team Southwest was helped by Cullen Muson, who grabbed one goal. Muson scored 13:47 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Dylan Malmquist picked up the assist. Team Southwest also got a goal from Grant Prinsen as well. In addition, Team Southwest received assists from Will Reedy, who had one.

Team Wisconsin registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Team Southwest incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
