Erin wins tough contest against Huntsville, 3-2

The game between the Erin Shamrocks and the Huntsville Otters was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Erin emerged with a 3-2 win.

The Shamrocks gained the winning advantage on a goal by Cosimo Morin 19:54 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Erin's penalty kill excelled, as the Shamrocks gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Erin was paced by Morin, who tallied one goal.

The Shamrocks stifled Huntsville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Erin's offense rang up 37 shots on the Otters' net.

Erin also got points from Adam Gibson, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Erin also got a goal from Jacob Arsenault as well. In addition, Erin received assists from Josh Sguigna, who had two and Wes Montgomery, Chris Grenier, and Liam Adamson, who each chipped in one.

Huntsville was helped by Jon Treadwell, who had one goal. Treadwell scored 15:56 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Trayvon Henry also scored for Huntsville. More assists for Huntsville came via Jake McIntyre and Noah Stevens, who contributed one a piece.

Tom Denstedt recorded 26 saves for the Shamrocks. Erin incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Otters' Connor Christianson stopped 34 shots out of the 37 that he faced. Huntsville incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
