The Midland Flyers had trouble finding ways to stop the Alliston Hornets, which beat Flyers, 10-2. Mark ODonnell had two goals and two assists to lead Alliston. ODonnell scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 15:17 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Alliston. The Hornets had taken the advantage when Midland's Kaden Shearer got sent off for interference. Bobby Sloan picked up the assist. ODonnell's next tally on the power play made the score 10-2 Alliston with 3:38 left in the third period. Alliston was on a disadvantage when Andrew Ceolin went off the ice for cross checking. Dakota Brooks provided the assist. The Hornets pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 26 penalty minutes. Alliston forced the Flyers' goaltenders to work without much rest, taking 46 shots and forcing 36 saves. Marco Colangelo made 35 stops and Andrew Best made one. The Hornets surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Alliston averages 3.7 goals per contest. The Hornets capitalized on Midland's penalties, netting three goals while skating with a man advantage. Alliston got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed four goals during the game. Alliston also got points from Jamie Bennett, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Brooks, who also finished with two goals and two assists, and Sloan, who also registered two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Alliston also had goals scored by Brendan Spencer and Matt Hamilton, who each put in one. In addition, Alliston received assists from Jacob Tuck, who had four and Joe Cochrane, Tanner Dockerty, Wyatt Young, and Nic Archibald, who each chipped in one. The Flyers were helped by Sean Crowe, who had one goal. Crowe scored on the power play 12:10 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Midland had gained a power play chance when Zack Byblow was whistled for roughing. Bruce Brown picked up the assist. Midland also got a goal from James Hermelyn as well. Other players who recorded assists for Midland were Steven Pickard and Cam Russell, who contributed one a piece. Connor Ryckman made 22 saves for the Hornets on 24 shots. The Flyers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
