McIntyre leads Huntsville over Penetang, 7-4

Jake McIntyre was all over the ice for the Huntsville Otters, as he tallied one goal and two assists in Huntsville's 7-4 win over the Penetang Kings.

McIntyre got on the board by slotting home a goal 6:40 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Trayvon Henry provided the assist. McIntyre dished an assist on Henry's goal that made the score 1-1 at 13:35 into the first period. He added another helper on Marco Luciani's goal that made the score 3-2 Huntsville at 12:15 into the second period.

The Otters surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Huntsville averages 2.5 goals per contest.

Huntsville additionally got points from Henry, who also had one goal and one assist, Luciani, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Noah Stevens, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Huntsville included Jon Treadwell, Shawn Antonidis, and Bryan Austin, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Huntsville were Myles Bissonette, Matt Janke, and Travis Armour, who each chipped in one and Brock Heshka and Evan Wilding, who contributed two a piece.

Penetang forced the Otters goalie Connor Christianson to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

The Kings were helped by Michael Paul, who tallied one goal. Paul scored 4:30 into the third period to make the score 5-3 Huntsville. Myles York assisted on the tally. Penetang also had goals scored by Jack Scanlan, Jordan Schwartz, and Mac Flewelling, who scored one goal each. More assists for Penetang came via Matt Meher, who had two and Ryan Shaw, Matt Fischer, and Ryan Young, who each chipped in one.

Christianson recorded 27 saves for Huntsville. The Otters incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Martin Lauzon rejected 17 shots on goal for Penetang. The Kings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
